If he said who told him from the studio, or they had an email about it, or anything fractionally credible I would believe it in a second.
I just think it's probably misleading as it is now. It might be an update available at launch with optimized net code.
Exclusive reviews are always dumb. Even if they don't buy the review, they essentially take away the review's credibility. Having a bunch of reviews with similar praises/complaints adds credibility to the claim. When you don't have other reviews offering different opinions, it won't really matter how good or bad the review is.

I don't think they'd put the halo 3 logo on it if it weren't to do with halo 3. maybe that's the planet MC crashes onto, and all the meteors n shiz are part of the ship.
edit: since it appears to be in New Mombasa, it could be a pack to fill in from the destruction of it before MC shows up there in Halo 3.
edit 2: it does say prepare to drop. Maybe you play as the invading covenant instead of for the ...
doubtful to be halo 4. More likely a halo 3 expansion?

The article wasn't even negative. The article was actually an interesting look at the two games, and held a valid point. One lets you populate a world, but lacks comparably in world creation. The other lets you create a world, and gives you the characters already.
It's true, and it's not a bad thing. It's an interesting juxtaposition.

the impressions were favorable outside of the fact that there are a lot of levels made by people just messing around (obviously was going to happen) and that movement is awkward to get used to.
Some people like to play more than 2 games a month. I play between 3-5 new games (read: games I haven't played before) every month. According to you guys I'd be a PS3 fanboy this month as I've only done 2 and the other games I'm only meh about.

Why should he pay for an inferior version of the game? If he knows he can get the same game without software that messes with your computer, why the hell shouldn't he?
It's not people like him that make DRM necessary. It's DRM and an abundance of crappy games that makes wide spread pirating necessary.
